Rep. Daniel Itse [Rockingham 9] has introduced legislation to amend the NH Constitution by adding:

 

 

[Art.] 2-B. [Parental Rights.]

 

Parents have the natural right to control the health, education, and welfare of their children;

 

therefore the State shall not abridge the role or responsibility of the parents in controlling the health, education, or welfare of their children.

 

This is the third time this proposal has gone before the House.

2010 CACR 29

[Art.] 2-b. [Parental Rights.] Parents have the natural right to control the health, education, and welfare of their children; therefore the state shall not abridge the role or responsibility of parents in controlling the health, education, or welfare of their children.

2008 CACR 23

[Art.] 4-a. [Parental Rights.] The State shall not abridge the right, role, or responsibility of parents to control the welfare and education of their children.
